Red Bull and Ford announced a technical partnership on Friday which will see the two parties develop and build a power unit for Formula 1‘s new regulations in 2026.
Ford were last involved in F1 in 2004 and cited the new regulations, plus the sport’s growth in the United States as key factors for their comeback.
The new partnership, called Red Bull Ford Powertrains, will last at least five seasons from 2026 to 2030.
In the latest episode of the Winging It F1 Podcast, Nigel Chiu, Adam Dickinson and Freddie Coates discuss what to expect from Red Bull Ford, where it leaves Honda‘s involvement in F1 and much more.
