Formula 1 accused the FIA of making unacceptable remarks about the sport’s value at the start of this week, following tweets from Mohammed Ben Sulayem who openly discussed requirements for a potential buyer.
A report last week claimed that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund made a bid of at least $20 billion, which Sulayem referred to on Twitter.
F1 owners Liberty Media sent a letter which said Sulayem overstepped the bounds of both the FIA‘s remit and its contractual rights and added the governing body could be libel.
On the latest episode of the Winging It F1 Podcast, Nigel Chiu, Adam Dickinson and Freddie Coates discuss the potential feud between FIA and F1, including what it means for the future of the championship.
