Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso topped the timesheet after FP2, with Verstappen fastest in FP1. Rain did affect the second practice session as teams went searching for the perfect Australian GP set up.
Ferrari seem confident they can challenge the Aston Martin in qualifying and possibly even get close to the Red Bull cars. Meanwhile, Mercedes are not expecting to be especially quick at Albert Park.
