Find out when the 2022 United States GP takes place, including the F1 session times for practice, qualifying, and the race

Formula 1 returns to the United States for the second time this year for the 2022 United States Grand Prix, following the inaugural Miami Grand Prix, which was held this past May.

Despite winning the Drivers’ Championship in Japan, Max Verstappen will be looking to cement his legacy by becoming the most successful driver in a single season.

The record is presently held by Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher, though with 12 wins already this season and four races to go, the odds favor Verstappen.

While the fight for the driver’s title is wrapped up, Red Bull will be looking to claim their first Constructors’ title since 2013. A win for either Verstappen or Sergio Perez will secure Red Bull that honor, with Mercedes’ incredible run of eight consecutive titles set to end in the near future.

The 2022 United States Grand Prix will take place on the 5.513km Circuit of The Americas with qualifying scheduled for 00:00 CEST ( 17:00 local time on Saturday) on Sunday, October 23, and the race at 21:00 CEST (14:00 local time) on Sunday, October 23.

Who won the last United States Grand Prix?

Verstappen triumphed at last year’s United States Grand Prix, with the Dutchman beating Lewis Hamilton by 1.333 seconds.

Hamilton would beat pole man Verstappen off the line, but a well-timed pit stop would hand Verstappen the advantage after securing an undercut.

The Mercedes driver came within a whisker of claiming his sixth win on the COTA circuit, but ultimately failed to pass Verstappen during the closes stages of the race, a result that would ultimately affect the outcome of the championship.

Behind them, Perez would finish third, in turn claiming back-to-back podiums for the first time in his career.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc would finish best of the rest, with Daniel Ricciardo also securing the odd top-five finish for McLaren.
