    Welcome to this Total Motorsport live blog for the F1 2023 Saudi Arabian GP, as the new season of Formula 1 continues in the Middle East. This weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix marks the second round of the 2023 Formula 1 championship. Sergio Perez in the Red Bull starts the race on pole position.

    Verstappen was fastest in all three practice sessions of the weekend, but ran into a mechanical issue during qualifying and will start the race in 15th positon.

    The 2023 Saudi Arabian GP starts at 8pm local time in Jeddah, which is 5pm for those in the UK, and 1pm for viewers on the east coast of the USA. On the US west coast it’s lights out at 10am.
