Speculation that Lewis Hamilton and pop star Shakira are dating appears to have been ended, after reports that the Colombian singer is dating Miami Heat‘s Jimmy Butler.
Whilst Hamilton has been photographed on a yacht with Jenny Stray Spetalen, the daughter of a Norwegian billionaire, who had previously considered buying Liverpool FC in 2006.
Spetalen’s father was ranked as the 78th richest person in Norway in 2021, although this may have simply been a friendly encounter, as Us Magazine report, there were other people on the boat including the film director Baz Luhrmann.
Despite what appeared to be a power-couple forming between the seven-time F1 world champion and the Colombian singer, who recently reached #1 in 16 countries, it appears the pair may be courting other people after hanging out quite often recently following Grand Prix events.
Hamilton’s former girlfriends
Hamilton famously dated Nicole Scherzinger from 2007-2015 in an on-and-off dynamic and since then has largely kept his private life close to his chest prior to the Shakira rumours.
Or maybe he doesn’t participate on the dating scene, previously describing his cars as the loves of his life and appears to be focused on his racing career for the time being as he hunts down a record-breaking eighth F1 world championship.
Whilst Shakira is free to mingle after completing her divorce from Gerard Pique in 2022, after the Spanish footballer allegedly had an affair with an Israeli model from as far back as 2012.
She is reported by US media to be dating Jimmy Butler, who plays professional basketball for the Miami Heat in the NBA.
The American athlete is worth $60m and is a six-time NBA all-star, although he has not managed to win the NBA finals to date after being defeated in his most recent attempt by the Denver Nuggets.
