Ferrari took a magnificent victory at the 100th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, their first overall victory at the circuit in 58 years as Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi took the chequered flag.
The #51 Ferrari was the class of the field throughout, staying ahead of the Toyota challengers overnight and taking advantage of a mistake by their rivals to bring the car home first in the Le Mans centenary race.
The #8 Toyota car, driven by Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Rio Hirakawa, finished over one minute behind the Ferrari, with the Cadillac Racing #2 car of Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn and Richard Westbrook third.
