Toyota make it five in a row at Le Mans

    -

Toyota secured its fifth consecutive victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans as Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa took the chequered flag in dominant fashion.

The #8 Toyota finished two minutes clear of sister car, the #7 Toyota, driven by Kamui Kobayashi, Jose Maria Lopez and Mike Conway.

Hypercar rivals, Glickenhaus and Alpine, never really threatened either crew, with Toyota’s only real worry coming when Lopez stopped on track just shy of the 16-hour mark. After performing a full power cycle of the front hybrid system, he rejoined the race but lost a lap in the process.
