As Formula 1 returns to the Hungaroring for the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix, the Hungarian GP betting 2025 markets are seeing one of their most intriguing shakeups in recent memory.
With McLaren now firmly at the top of the pecking order, this year’s odds reflect a dramatic shift compared to previous seasons, making this race a fascinating case study for both fans and bettors.
The 2025 F1 season has seen Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris take control of the championship, and bookmakers have quickly adjusted to reflect the McLaren duo’s form.

The Dutchman is still Red Bull’s biggest hope, but the bookies see him as an underdog on a circuit where passing is notoriously tough and McLaren’s one-lap and long-run pace is superior. Charles Leclerc is rated next best, typically 10/1 to 16/1 (UK) or +800 to +900 (US), while Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are given even longer odds in their Ferrari and Mercedes machinery, respectively.
The implied message from the odds is simple: this is a two-horse race between Norris and Piastri, with Verstappen potentially lurking if anything goes wrong for the McLarens.

Other betting markets: Pole, podium, and fastest lap
Beyond the race winner market, bettors can also find odds on pole position, podium finishes, and fastest lap. Once again, the McLaren duo lead the way.
For pole position, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are near-identical favourites—each offered around 7/4 or 15/8 in the UK, and +350 in the USA. Max Verstappen is next, but at a much longer price (4/1 to 5/1), while Leclerc and Hamilton are only considered outside chances.
For a podium finish, Norris and Piastri are at ultra-short odds—around 1/4 in the UK and -500 in the US—indicating the bookmakers’ confidence in McLaren’s race-day performance. Verstappen is also odds-on for a podium, but at a more attractive price of 1/2 (UK) or -200 (US). Leclerc, Hamilton, and Russell are seen as dark horses, all at 5/2 or longer.
