Oliver Rowland of Nissan took a remarkable victory in Round 2 of the Formula E season and leads the way in Mexico City E-Prix 2025 Results. Starting from fourth on the grid, Rowland faced an uphill battle against a formidable Porsche lineup led by Pascal Wehrlein and Antonio Felix da Costa, who started from the front row at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
Early on, the Porsche drivers appeared poised to extend their dominance, but Rowland’s tactical decision to delay his final Attack Mode activation paid off in spectacular fashion. A late safety car bunched up the field, allowing Rowland to unleash his 350kW power boost with just over a minute remaining.
In a display of masterful driving, he overtook Jake Dennis for third, Wehrlein for second, and finally Da Costa to take the lead through the Foro Sol stadium section. Rowland crossed the finish line ahead of the Porsche duo, claiming his first victory of the season and breaking a four-year streak of Porsche-powered wins in Mexico City.
