Formula E has revealed the most expansive calendar in its history for the 2025/26 season, promising fans 18 rounds of all-electric racing across 12 global cities – including first-time appearances in Madrid and the Miami International Autodrome – Season 12 schedule signals the series’ intent to broaden its reach while doubling down on sustainability and global appeal.
The calendar kicks off on December 6, 2025, in the vibrant city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, before moving on to the familiar electric atmosphere of Mexico City in January.
The first of the new venues arrives in round three, as Formula E heads to the Miami International Autodrome on January 31. This marks a significant return to Florida, with Miami’s world-famous Hard Rock Stadium – fresh off hosting the series’ EVO Sessions in March – set to welcome the unique spectacle of Formula E.

Calendar expansion brings Madrid and Miami debuts
The European swing introduces Madrid’s Circuito de Madrid-Jarama as a Formula E host for the very first time, scheduled for March 21. Not only does this represent the championship’s maiden visit to the Spanish capital, but it’s also the first time in nearly four decades that a World Championship motorsport event will take place in the city. For Spanish fans and Formula E co-founder Alberto Longo, who calls Madrid home, this event is a long-awaited milestone.
Returning mainstays such as Berlin, Monaco, Shanghai, and Tokyo will each stage double-header race weekends, amplifying the drama in front of packed grandstands. Monaco, widely regarded as the jewel in the crown of motorsport, will host back-to-back races on its legendary street circuit—a format that proved popular during its inaugural twin-race outing in 2025.
As the season progresses, two more venues will be announced pending final FIA ratification, ensuring a touch of suspense remains before the final calendar is locked in. The campaign culminates in London, where the championship will wrap up with a climactic double-header at the ExCeL Arena on August 15–16, 2026. This grand finale will also mark the farewell to the GEN3 Evo car before Formula E enters a new technological era with the debut of the GEN4 in Season 13.

Sustainability and stability at the heart of the calendar
Formula E’s 2025/26 calendar isn’t just the biggest – it’s also the greenest yet. Races have been carefully grouped by continent, reducing both freight mileage and CO2 emissions as the championship moves across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
The series continues to lead the way in motorsport sustainability, a point emphasized by Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds: “With greater attention on calendar stability, we’re becoming easier to find, engage with and attend, unlocking greater fan loyalty and love.
“Our debut in Madrid and increase in total races demonstrates our mission and intent to continually grow the series in key markets, while racing at Miami’s International Autodrome takes our US presence to another level at a world-class facility.”
Alberto Longo added, “With at least two fantastic new circuits joining the impressive roster, including what will be a home race for myself in Madrid that has long been a goal of mine, we’re enhancing the diversity of what fans can expect while staying true to our DNA with a blend of city street and built circuit venues. It is what makes our racing so exciting and compelling to watch.”
FIA’s Marek Nawarecki also highlighted the balance and regional focus: “The Season 12 calendar provides a world-class platform to showcase Formula E at its very best whilst offering a balanced presence in different regions, especially in those where the EV industry is developing.”
