About the Singapore Grand Prix
The Singapore Grand Prix is Formula 1’s original night street race, held at the Marina Bay Street Circuit since 2008. The track runs through the city centre under floodlights, in heat and humidity that make it one of the most physically demanding races of the year. Tight walls, 90-degree corners and little time to rest have produced Safety Cars, late drama and some of the sport’s most memorable nights.
In 2026 Singapore is a Sprint weekend, slotted a week after the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. Friday has one practice session and Sprint Qualifying. Saturday adds the Sprint and the Grand Prix qualifying session. Sunday’s race is 62 laps around the 4.927 km Marina Bay layout, with lights out at 20:00 local time.
