About the Dutch Grand Prix
The Dutch Grand Prix is run through the dunes at Circuit Zandvoort, on the North Sea coast west of Amsterdam. Formula 1 first raced here in 1952. The event left the calendar after 1985 and returned in 2021 with Max Verstappen as world champion and a rebuilt track that kept Tarzan, the banked corners and the old rollercoaster flow.
The 2026 race, from 21 to 23 August, was a Sprint weekend and the last Dutch Grand Prix under the current deal. George Russell won Saturday’s Sprint. Lando Norris won Sunday’s Grand Prix after a red-flag race, ahead of Kimi Antonelli and Russell. Verstappen, who won the first three races of the modern return, did not stand on the Sunday podium.
