About the Belgian Grand Prix
The Belgian Grand Prix is one of Formula 1’s foundation races, first held as a World Championship event in 1950. Since the modern circuit opened it has been inseparable from Spa-Francorchamps: Eau Rouge, Raidillon, Blanchimont and weather that can change from one sector to the next. It is the longest lap on the current calendar and still one of the few places where a Grand Prix car can feel like it is properly unleashed.
The 2026 race ran from 17 to 19 July as a standard weekend, not a Sprint. Kimi Antonelli took pole and won for Mercedes after a fight with Charles Leclerc, with Max Verstappen third. Spa remains a drivers’ circuit first: high speed, high commitment, and a result that can turn on a rain shower over the Ardennes.
