Max Verstappen once again was top of the timing charts in final practice ahead of qualifying for the Spanish GP.
The Red Bull driver was 0.250s faster than teammate Sergio Perez at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, while Lewis Hamilton showed significant improvement for Mercedes in third.
Home favourites Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso were fourth and fifth in the session, ahead of the second Mercedes of George Russell, with Charles Leclerc back in seventh for Ferrari.
Valtteri Bottas was eighth for Alfa Romeo, with the AlphaTauri of Yuki Tsunoda and Lando Norris of McLaren rounding out the top ten.
Sargeant in the gravel
The session came under red flags after just ten minutes of running when the Williams of Logan Sargeant slid off into the gravel at Turn 1.
The drivers were slow to make their way back out on track once the session resumed as the rain started to come down in Barcelona, with most coming back out on intermediate tyres and a number struggling for grip.
While the session began to dry out towards the end of running, and several drivers switched to the slick soft tyres, there was limited time to set more times ahead of qualifying later.
