    F1 United States GP Starting Grid 2022

    Ferrari's Carlos Sainz starts on pole position, followed by world champion Max Verstappen in the Red Bull

    Carlos Sainz put in a brilliant Qualifying performance to ensure his Ferrari is first on the starting grid for the 2022 United States Grand Prix. 

    Joining Sainz on the front row is Max Verstappen it the Red Bull, who starts second as Charles Leclerc has been handed a 10-place grid penalty for taking a new internal combustion engine. 

    Lewis Hamilton leads an all Mercedes second row as he starts third at the Circuit of the Americas alongside George Russell, with both Silver Arrows benefiting from Leclerc’s penalty, and another to Sergio Perez in the second Red Bull
