Five events in six weeks will bring the 2023 Formula 1 season to a conclusion and it all starts with the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas.
Max Verstappen sealed the drivers’ championship last time out in Qatar, so attention turns to the battle for second where Sergio Perez has a 30-point advantage over Lewis Hamilton.
Mercedes hold a lead of 28 points over Ferrari in the constructors’ championship and this weekend is another Sprint event, so there are plenty of points up for grabs.
The United States GP returned to the F1 calendar after a five year absence in 2012 and Austin always produces great racing due to its track layout.
Verstappen won the 2021 and 2022 events, beating Hamilton in both races but it was far from easy and the jeopardy of a Sprint weekend could lead to a similar story in 2023.
