On the second day of F1 pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit, Carlos Sainz took charge, setting the pace for Ferrari. Sainz clocked an impressive 1:29.921s on the C4 Pirelli tires, marking a shift for some teams from data gathering to pushing their new packages.

The afternoon proved productive for Ferrari, with Sainz completing 84 laps, complementing Charles Leclerc‘s earlier 54. The session concluded prematurely due to a track inspection triggered by debris from a drain cover incident involving Leclerc at Turn 11.

Lando Norris for McLaren claimed the fourth spot, overcoming a minor fuel system issue investigated in the afternoon. Daniel Ricciardo continued RB’s promising start, securing the fifth-best time.
