How do the 2024 Formula 1 Driver and Constructor Championship Standings look after Max Verstappen of Red Bull took victory at the Japanese GP in Suzuka

Max Verstappen secured a resounding victory at the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix, rebounding strongly from his previous race retirement. Leading from the outset, Verstappen, followed by Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez and Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz. The race saw Verstappen‘s third win in four races of 2024, enhancing his lead in the Driver Standings.

Sainz managed to clinch third place, overtaking McLaren‘s Lando Norris and his own teammate Charles Leclerc, who opted for fewer pit stops on an alternate strategy. The race featured intense moments, notably a near-collision between George Russell and Oscar Piastri.

Following the Japanese Grand Prix, Max Verstappen‘s lead in the 2024 F1 Driver Standings has increased from four points to 13. Red Bull driver Sergio Perez has leapfrogged Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in the standings. While Carlos Sainz of Ferrari holds the fourth position with 55 points, just four behind his teammate.

F1 2024 Constructor Standings after Japanese GP

Meanwhile in the 2024 F1 Constructor Standings, Red Bull‘s lead over Ferrari has increased to 21 points after their 1-2 in Suzuka. McLaren trails in third by 51 points, and have opened up a 35-point gap to Mercedes, with the Silver Arrows in fifth, one point ahead of Aston Martin.
