F1 Standings after 2024 Australian Grand Prix

How do the 2024 Formula 1 Driver and Constructor Championship Standings look after Max Verstappen of Red Bull took victory at the Australian GP

Carlos Sainz clinched an unexpected victory at the 2024 Australian Grand Prix, marking Ferrari‘s first triumph of the season, thanks in part to technical difficulties that ended Max Verstappen‘s race. The Red Bull driver was aiming for a record-tenth consecutive win, encountered brake issues right from the start, which not only cost him the lead to Sainz but also led to his retirement – his first in two years.

Sainz capitalized on this opportunity, demonstrating formidable pace and strategy to extend his lead and secure the third win of his Formula 1 career, while Verstappen‘s troubles signified a rare setback for the defending champion

Following the Australian Grand Prix in the 2024 Formula 1 season, Max Verstappen‘s lead in the F1 Driver Standings is down to just four points, with the Red Bull driver closely followed by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc on 47 points. Sergio Perez is just behind with 46 points, while Carlos Sainz of Ferrari holds the fourth position with 40 points.
