    F1 Standings after 2022 Monaco GP

    Sergio Perez took his first ever victory in Monaco after the race start was delayed by over an hour due to heavy rain.

    Max Verstappen has extended his lead at the top of the 2022 F1 drivers’ championship after finishing 3rd at the Monaco GP ahead of championship rival Charles Leclerc.

    Red Bull will go away from Monte Carlo the happier team after Sergio Perez took his maiden win at the principality, taking advantage of a a pitstop mixup from Ferrari to finish ahead of Carlos Sainz.

    Meanwhile George Russell continued his record of finishing in the top 5 at every race this season with another 5th place finish, followed by McLaren’s Lando Norris who came home in 6th with an extra bonus point for fastest lap of the race.
