Ferrari suffered a double DNF as Red Bull secured another 1-2 finish in Baku

    -

Max Verstappen extended his lead at the top of the F1 Drivers’ Championship Standings with a dominant win at the Azerbaijan GP as Red Bull secured maximum points.

Sergio Perez finished second after the leading the early stages of the race, but it was a disastrous outing for Ferrari as both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz retired due to issues with the car.

The Scuderia’s misfortune was Mercedes’ gain, as George Russell secured another podium finish in third, while Lewis Hamilton came over the line in fourth despite complaining of back pain due to the extent of porpoising down the long straights in Baku.
