F1 Spanish GP 2025 – Race Results

Oscar Piastri led from lights to flag as McLaren dominated the race in Spain

-

Oscar Piastri was quickest in Barcelona and put his McLaren top of the Spanish GP 2025 race results, just ahead of teammate Lando Norris, with Charles Leclerc third fastest in the Ferrari.

Piastri continued his superb 2025 Formula 1 campaign by leading a McLaren 1-2 at the Spanish Grand Prix, extending his lead in the championship after a composed drive from pole to flag. The drama behind him was just as compelling, with Max Verstappen handed a 10-second time penalty after a controversial late-race clash with George Russell, dropping the Red Bull driver to 10th.

Piastri held firm through the final laps to seal his fifth victory of the season by 2.4 seconds from Norris, giving McLaren its second 1-2 finish of 2025. Leclerc completed the podium, while Russell was promoted to fourth after the Verstappen penalty.

Further back, Nico Hulkenberg took a standout fifth for Kick Sauber, ahead of Hamilton. Isack Hadjar and Pierre Gasly continued their points-scoring form in seventh and eighth respectively, with Fernando Alonso finally grabbing his first point of the season in ninth.

Lance Stroll was a non-starter due to recurring wrist pain, while Alex Albon retired after contact with Liam Lawson
