F1 Spanish GP 2025 – Free Practice 3 Results

McLaren and Oscar Piastri put in statement times to top the FP3 timesheet

-

Oscar Piastri was quickest in Barcelona and put his McLaren top of the Spanish GP 2025 Free Practice 3 results, just ahead of teammate Lando Norris, with Charles Leclerc third fastest for Ferrari in the third and final practice session of the F1 weekend.

While Norris slotted into second, he was 0.526s off the pace. Leclerc was the best of the rest in third for Ferrari, just ahead of Russell. Verstappen, who never found full comfort in the RB21, ended the session fifth, nearly a second slower than Piastri.

Behind the front five, Isack Hadjar delivered another strong showing in sixth, ahead of Kimi Antonelli, Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, and Lawson, who rounded out the top 10. Russell showed promise on soft tyres, briefly topping the session by nearly half a second as long-run preparation gave way to Qualifying simulations

McLaren’s pace — especially over a single lap — continues to look formidable. But with tyre degradation and race strategy still factors to consider, all eyes now turn to Qualifying at 1600 local time as the grid takes shape for Sunday’s Grand Prix.
