F1 Spanish GP 2024: Schedule and Session Start Times

Find out when the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix takes place, including the F1 session start times for the practice, Qualifying, and Sunday's race

As the 2024 Formula 1 season progresses, the Spanish Grand Prix stands out as a pivotal event, offering a blend of technical demands and strategic complexities that can significantly impact the championship standings, and with upgrades coming for most teams, make sure you know when the session times for the Spanish GP.

Traditionally held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the Spanish GP is renowned for its challenging layout. Located in Montmelo, near Barcelona, this circuit has been a mainstay on the F1 calendar since 1991. It features a mix of high-speed straights, slow corners, and sweeping curves, making it a comprehensive test of both driver skill and car performance.

In 2023, the circuit saw the removal of the chicane before the final corner, a modification aimed at increasing overtaking opportunities. This change, combined with the aerodynamic configurations of modern F1 cars, has made the race more dynamic and competitive.

As part of the European leg of the season, the Spanish GP holds additional significance for teams based in Europe, as it reduces logistical challenges and allows for a more straightforward implementation of technical upgrades.

Our detailed schedule ensures you won’t miss a moment of the thrilling Spanish GP, from the first practice lap to the chequered flag on race day. Stay tuned to Total-Motorsport.com for comprehensive live coverage and updates throughout the Spanish GP weekend.
