Max Verstaooen led Red Bull to a magnificent one-two finish in Spain

    -

A superb drive from Max Verstappen saw the Dutchman lead Red Bull to a one-two in the 2022 Spanish Grand Prix, after leader Charles Leclerc retired from the lead in the Ferrari

Both Leclerc and Verstappen got off the line well with the Ferarri man building a slight lead over his title rival, before Verstappen spun at Turn 4 and emerged behind George Russell and Sergio Perez

A frustrating spell behind Russell due to Verstappen not having DRS down the main straight, eventually meant Red Bull pitted early to put their man on soft tyres which led to quicker lap times and an overtake on Russell for second.

Perez, who was leading, then let his Red Bull teammate through for victory.
