F1 Monaco GP 2025 – Race Results

Lando Norris was commanding in Monaco and took his first win in the Principality

-

Lando Norris got the job done in Monte Carlo and put his McLaren top of the Monaco GP 2025 race results, finishing just ahead of Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari, and teammate Oscar Piastri third in the Principality.

Lando Norris delivered a career-defining performance in Monte Carlo, holding off Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri in a strategic showdown influenced by F1’s experimental three-compound rule. The McLaren star managed the race from pole to flag, overcoming late-race pressure and tyre strategy variables to clinch his second win of the season.

His calm control and tactical clarity throughout the 78-lap contest helped close the championship gap to teammate Piastri to just three points, while Max Verstappen, who briefly led on an alternate strategy, finished fourth after a late pit stop that dashed Red Bull’s hopes of a red flag.

Monaco’s tight layout has always made overtaking nearly impossible, and to counteract that, F1 introduced a one-off rule requiring drivers to use three different tyre compounds, effectively mandating two pit stops.
