Latest weather forecast for the F1 Miami Grand Prix

The 2022 Miami GP is due to be run between May 6-8 at the Miami International Autodrome and the latest weather forecast predicts an overcast day on Sunday

The inaugural Miami Grand Prix is set to take place this Sunday, with Formula 1 making its first of two visits to the United States. Charles Leclerc and Ferrari will be hoping to get their season back on track after a disappointing Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, while Red Bull and Max Verstappen will be looking to build on their momentum.

With this being the first race at the Miami Autodrome, teams will have limited data to work with, meaning that the Friday practice sessions will be essential for them to gather as much data as they can.

Friday, Practice 1 and Practice 2

The practice sessions on Friday will be run in overcast conditions, though rain is not expected to play a factor. The ambient temperature will reach a high of 31 degrees Celsius meaning that the drivers will have to contend with hotter conditions than they did at Imola.

Saturday, Practice 3 and Qualifying

The all-important qualifying session will take place in marginally warmer conditions as the day’s high is set to be one degree warmer at 32 degrees Celsius. The clouds will remain over the circuit though the chances of rain remain relatively low at 24%.

Sunday, Race

Much like the previous two days, the first-ever Miami Grand Prix will take place in sunny but overcast conditions. The temperature around the circuit will remain around the 32 degrees Celsius mark with the chance of rain staying at the 24% mark.
