Max Verstappen came from seventh on the grid to win his 11th race of the 2022 Formula 1 season at the 2022 Italian Grand Prix. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was second with Mercedes’ George Russell rounding out the podium.
The Italian Grand Prix ended in slightly disappointing circumstances with the race concluded behind the Safety Car, after McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo retired from the race.
Behind the leaders, Williams matched their best result of the season with substitute driver Nyck De Vries finishing in a hard-fought ninth, with the Dutchman scoring points on his F1 debut.
