Italian GP weather: Latest forecast for Monza

The 2022 Italian GP is due to be run between September 9-11 at Monza and the latest weather forecast has warm sunny spells for Sunday's F1 race

-

The 2022 Formula 1 season continues to swing the way of Max Verstappen as the Red Bull driver heads into the Italian Grand Prix looking for his fifth consecutive victory, but will weather play a part in the race? What does the weather forecast look like for the weekend’s F1 Italian GP?

It’s been the Verstappen show since we returned from the F1 summer break, with wins in Belgium and the Netherlands, and another expected at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

Red Bull‘s straight line speed has been impressive throughout 2022 and given Monza is a high speed circuit, many are betting on Verstappen crossing the finish line in first place on Sunday.

Friday, Practice 1 and Practice 2

With hot sunny weather forecast for the majority of the weekend, Friday will see the only smattering of rain as there is a 60 percent chance we will see some precipitation in the morning, though by the late afternoon this will all but disappear as temperatures reach a pleasant 23 degrees Celsius. There will also be a Light southwesterly wind.

Saturday, Practice 3 and Qualifying

Partly cloudy conditions in the morning will make way for sunshine in the afternoon as temperatures go from 23 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius for Qualifying. And once again there will be a light southerly wind.

Sunday, Race

Dry and sunny conditions are expected for the 2022 Italian GP, with temperatures reaching 26 degrees Celsius by lights out, with the chance of rain at less than five percent. The wind will be from a south-westerly direction at 3mph.
