Another poor day for Ferrari saw the Scuderia squander second and third on the grid

    -

A sensational performance from Max Verstappen saw the Red Bull driver come from 10th on the grid to win the 2022 Hungarian GP, ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes

George Russell started on pole position, for the first time in his Formula 1 career, and led the race for the first half, but the power of the undercut at the Hungaroring allowed Hamilton and Verstappen to get past the Mercedes man.

Before the race, Ferrari looked odds on for a one-two finish, but more poor strategy calls from the Scuderia saw Sainz and Leclerc finish in fourth and sixth, respectively.
