Esteban Ocon has quietly been one of the better-performing drivers of the 2023 Formula 1 season, spearheading an Alpine team that’s been beset by difficulties off the track.
Ocon‘s shown his value to the team more than ever before, picking up a podium at the Monaco Grand Prix that earned a handy bonus for all the staff at Enstone.
And the anticipated fireworks from his partnership with Pierre Gasly haven’t kicked off either, as the pair have seemingly buried a long-running feud that started in French karting.
How much will Esteban Ocon earn in 2023?

For the 2023 Formula 1 season, Ocon is set to receive a very enviable $8 million.
This figure, while significant, places him in the mid-range of F1 earners, reflecting his consistent performances and the trust his team places in him. As a French driver at Alpine, effectively the French national team in F1, he also provides plenty of marketing opportunities in l’Hexagone.
A race winner, and the only driver outside the top four teams to score a podium this year, the Enstone-based team brought Ocon out of a year on the sidelines in F1 after he wasn’t renewed at Racing Point despite outperforming Sergio Perez.
With Ocon on the bubble of the top half of drivers on the F1 grid, his salary being the ninth-highest in the sport makes sense.
Interestingly though, it’s slightly more than Alpine teammate – and fellow F1 race winner – Gasly earns.
The pair are generally thought to be equals within the team, but Ocon certainly has the upper hand when it comes to bank balance this season.
Having faced challenges early in his career, including a brief hiatus from racing, Ocon‘s current salary is a testament to his tenacity and the value he brings to his team.
And it’s a far cry from the beginnings of his racing life, when his family had to sell their home and father’s garage to fund Ocon‘s karting career and lived and travelled in a motorhome to attend races.
How much is Esteban Ocon worth?
By 2023, Esteban Ocon boasts a net worth of an estimated $18 million. This figure, while not rivalling some of the sport’s giants, is a reflection of Ocon‘s steady ascent in F1.
Aside from his salary, Ocon‘s appeal extends beyond the racetrack – he’s associated with MAPFRE, Castrol, Microsoft and DuPont.
He also endorses luxury watchmaker Bell and Ross, and sported a special helmet dedicated to them at the 2023 Belgian Grand Prix.

Finally, Ocon‘s luxury house in Geneva only inflates his net worth further (again, a long way from living in a caravan with his parents).
And while he’s not known for the flashiest of garages, Ocon still carries several valuable cars acquired through his partnerships with Mercedes, Renault and Alpine over the years.
