Thankfully Lance Stroll walked away somewhat unscathed from a monster crash during Qualifying for the 2023 Singapore GP.
The Aston Martin driver slammed into the barrier after coming through the final corner of the Marina Bay Street Circuit, which ripped half of the Aston Martin car’s sidepod from the car.
The crash also had so much force the tyre tethers, designed to keep the tyres attached to a car in the event of a crash, to break.
After the incident, Stroll was taken to the medical centre, and also confirmed he was ok via team radio. Going through the final corner, Stroll mounted the kerb and lost control of this car before slamming into the barrier.
As a result, the red flag was immediately brought out by the FIA with the barriers repaired and fluid also cleared from the track.
Replays also showed that nanoseconds before impact, Stroll managed to take his hands off the steering wheel and thus avoided breaking his hand as Daniel Ricciardo did in Zandvoort
