    -

Formula 1 returns to Europe this weekend with the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix playing host to F1 2022’s first Sprint Race weekend. With Charles Leclerc arriving at the event with a sizeable lead in the Drivers’ Championship and with Ferrari leading the way in the Constructors’ standings, the Tifosi will be anticipating a strong performance from the Maranello-based outfit.

The weekend will also witness the first Sprint Race of the season, which is set to take place on Saturday.

    Friday, Practice 1 and Qualifying

The weather forecast for Friday is predicted to be gloomy with a high chance of rain, meaning that we could witness the season’s first few wet-weather sessions. Temperatures around the race circuit will hover around 13 and 9 degrees Celsius, which is a marked change from what we have seen so far in the year.

Saturday, Practice 2 and Sprint Race

Conditions on Saturday should improve, with the drivers set to witness a bit of sunlight albeit with clouds hovering over the circuit. The temperature around the circuit will be warmer with the day witnessing a high of 22 degrees Celsius and a low of 12 degrees Celsius.

    Sunday Race

Sunday will most likely be a wet affair with the weather forecast predicting rain around the Emilia Romagna-based race track. The event was run in similar conditions last year, meaning that the fans are in for an enthralling affair as the drivers come to grips with the new technical regulations in the rain for the first time.
