Charles Leclerc put in an impressive performance to take victory at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix, prevailing over Oscar Piastri in the McLaren as he won his home race for the first ever time, so how has the that Ferrari win affected the F1 Driver and Constructor Standings.

The race began with a significant crash involving Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and the Haas cars of Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg, leading to a red flag. After the restart, Leclerc maintained his lead, navigating strategic decisions smoothly while keeping his rivals at bay, eventually winning by seven seconds.

Oscar Piastri finished second in his McLaren, fending off a late challenge from Carlos Sainz, who completed the podium for Ferrari in third. Lando Norris put up a fight but had to settle for fourth, trailing Sainz

George Russell led the Mercedes effort in fifth, with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton following in sixth and seventh, respectively. Yuki Tsunoda secured eighth, while Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly rounded out the Top 10 for Williams and Alpine.

Fernando Alonso‘s recovery from a challenging Saturday saw him finish 11th, ahead of Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas. Lance Stroll faced disappointment after a puncture relegated him to 14th, with Logan Sargeant and Zhou Guanyu completing the classified finishers.

Following the 2024 Monaco Grand PrixMax Verstappen‘s lead in the 2024 F1 Driver Standings has been reduced to 31 points, with Ferrari driver Leclerc closing the gap in the standings. Following his DNF, Sergio Perez dropped to fifth in the standings, behind Carlos Sainz of Ferrari and McLaren‘s Lando Norris.

F1 2024 Constructor Standings after Monaco GP

Meanwhile in the 2024 F1 Constructor Standings, Red Bull‘s lead over Ferrari has fallen to 24 points after Leclerc‘s win in Monte Carlo. McLaren in third trail the Scuderia by 68 points, and have now opened up an 88-point gap to Mercedes, with the Silver Arrows in fourth, ahead of Aston Martin.
