    Max Verstappen was head and shoulders above the rest as he delivered a dominant victory at the 2023 F1 Bahrain GP to immediately give himself maximum points in the 2023 driver standings. 

    Red Bull made is a clean sweep as Sergio Perez brought his car home in second, with Aston Martin celebrating a sensational podium for Fernando Alonso, his 99th in F1. 

    Ferrari endured a tough race as Charles Leclerc retired from the race due to an engine problem, while Carlos Sainz was easily passed by Alonso
