Formula 1 heads to Montreal this weekend for the first time since 2019, but what does the weather forecast look like for the Canadian GP?
Due to the pandemic and other factors, F1 hasn’t been to Canada for three seasons, with Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton beating out a challenge from the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel for the win last time out.
With Red Bull securing a 1-2 at the Azerbaijan GP and Ferrari suffering a double DNF, the pressure is on for the Scuderia and Charles Leclerc to reignite their 2022 title challenge at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Friday, Practice 1 and Practice 2
The Friday practice sessions should offer the drivers the opportunity to reacquiant themselves with the circuit in Montreal, but there is a forecast for heavy thunderstorms in the afternoon which could disrupt running.
Saturday, Practice 3 and Qualifying
For qualifying the weather should improve from the deluge forecast on Friday, but we could still see a wet session with rain showers set to come in the afternoon and an air temparature of 15 degrees.
Sunday, Race
Conditions should be more amenable for the Canadian GP on Sunday, with mild, cloudy weather forecast and a minimal chance of precipitation.
