Despite losing the lead at the start to Lando Norris, Max Verstappen regained first place and strode his Red Bull to victory at the 2023 British Grand Prix, ahead of the McLaren, with Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes third.
Norris jumped Verstappen off the start line, but the superior speed of the Red Bull eventually allowed the Dutchman back into the lead, and from there he raced into a massive lead.
Kevin Magnussen brought out the safety car when his Haas broke down on Lap 34, which allowed the front runners to come in for a free pit stop.
That saw Norris in the McLaren put on a set of hard tyres, but behind him Lewis Hamilton had a Mercedes on soft tyres, but he was unable to get past his fellow Brit, even using DRS.
