Brazilian Grand Prix weather update: Will it rain at Interlagos?

-

The 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix is set to take place in relatively calm conditions with no more rain forecast for Interlagos in Sao Paulo, but the grand prix will likely feature dry sunny spells with a gentle breeze.

Qualifying for the Brazilian GP saw a massive storm move over the Interlagos circuit towards the end of the session resulting in a washout. Max Verstappen was out on track early enough and put his pole position time in before the heavens opened.

The heavy rain caused the session to be reg flagged and the windy conditions with gusts upwards of 50km/h saw the roof of one of the grandstands at Interlagos collapse.

The hot humid conditions of Friday where temperatures reached 30 degrees Celsius, have now been replaced by a more pleasant 23 degrees Celsius with no rain expected to hit the Grand Prix at all.

During the Sprint Race on Saturday, conditions were calm and sunny with a similar outlook expected on Sunday afternoon.

Interlagos weather

Fans, drivers and F1 teams alike will be pleased to know that there is a zero percent chance of rain on Sunday afternoon for the 2023 Brazilian GP

Temperatures are set to peak at 24 degrees Celsius when the race starts at 14:00 local time, with humidity at around 47 percent. We could also see cloud cover as we get later into the afternoon.

There will also a be a gentle 13km/h breeze from the south east at lights out, though there could be some gust reaching 30km/h

Conditions should remain stable for the entire race with temperatures only expected to drop by a degree or two over the course of the 71 laps.
