F1 Brazilian GP 2023 – Race Results

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen bagged his 17th win of the F1 season after victory at the 2023 Brazilian GP

It was another Sunday of Max Verstappen dominance as the Red Bull driver led the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix from start to finish to take his 17th Formula victory of the season, ahead of Lando Norris in the McLaren

It was a disastrous day for Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari as a hydraulic issue caused him to crash on the formation lap, meaning he didn’t even start the race. Alex Albon never got to Turn 1 as his Williams touched the Haas of Nico Hulkenberg and careered into the other Haas of Kevin Magnussen and put them both out the race, while also causing a red flag.

On the second restart Norris did get close to Verstappen but was unable to overtake the Red Bull, even with DRS. Sergio Perez came through the field and eventually passed Fernando Alonso for third but on the final lap the Aston Martin driver retook the the final podium position.

Lance Stroll put a series of poor weekends behind him to finish in fifth place, Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari was sixth and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly was seventh. Mercedes never had the race pace and Lewis Hamilton dropped back to eighth, while George Russell retired the car when he was in 10th place.
