George Russell led home a Mercedes 1-2 in a thrilling Brazilian Grand Prix that featured two safety cars and another collision between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
Hamilton was second, 1.3 seconds behind his teammate, and Carlos Sainz third for his first podium since the Singapore Grand Prix.
Things looked well on course for a comfortable Russell win before Lando Norris pulled up on lap 53 to throw the race wide open.
He was the third retirement on a bad weekend for McLaren, as Daniel Ricciardo hit sprint polesitter Kevin Magnussen on the opening lap.
