    Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc took the win at the Red Bull Ring

    Charles Leclerc held on at the end to take victory at the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix, just ahead of title rival Max Verstappen in the Red Bull

    Verstappen started on pole position but it was Leclerc and Ferrari who had the stronger pace throughout the race, and Monegasque overtook the Red Bull on three different occasions to secure the win. 

    Carlos Sainz in the second Ferrari retired from the race after his engine caught fire, just as he was about to pass Verstappen for second place.
