Alpine unveil trendy new design for Las Vegas GP

Alpine become the latest F1 team to sport a new livery for the 2023 Las Vegas GP

-

Alpine will race in a special 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix livery in collaboration with fashion brand Palace.

Palace, a London-based skateboard whose previous collaborations include Juventus football club and Elton John, has partnered with Alpine and their team wear supplier Kappa for a unique Vegas collection.

Alpine’s A523 has been given a makeover for the Las Vegas GP, with the team’s blue and pink colours now integrated in a new livery inspired by the city’s desert.

The team’s special merchandise collection, which includes caps and t-shirts, will be released to the public on Thursday of GP weekend before being available globally on Friday.

Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon’s driver suits, caps, and team gear have also been redesigned for the weekend, with Palace’s logos appearing on the back of the team’s t-shirts.

“We are super excited to unveil this unique collaboration with iconic brand Palace together with our partner Kappa,” said David Gendry, vice president of Alpine Sponsoring.

It was a first for Alpine to work on such a co-project where trendy fashion meets sports brands so perfectly. The creative process and exchanges these past few months have been incredible.

“It is with great pride we unveil a unique livery for the A523, inspired by the desert that surrounds Las Vegas. The team will also wear the Palace Kappa for Alpine team kit this weekend.”

Alpine’s third new look of 2023

After a successful 2022, where they finished fourth in the constructors’ championship, Alpine slipped back to sixth in 2023, where off-track matters overshadowed the team’s season.

Despite the dismissals of Alan Permane and Otmar Szafnauer dismissal following July’s 2023 Belgian GP, Gasly and Ocon appeared on the podium once in 2023, finishing third in Monaco and Zandvoort, respectively.

Alpine started the season off in a predominantly pink livery as they did in 2022, but the design didn’t bring the team much luck as they only picked up eight points in the first three races.

Ferrari will also bring a 1970s-inspired design for the Las Vegas GP, which sees the team integrate white into the car’s front and rear wing, special driver overalls, and merchandise collections.
