F1 Abu Dhabi GP 2023 – Practice 3 Results

George Russell was fastest in FP3 at the 2023 Abu Dhabi GP

George Russell looks like the man to beat at the Yas Marina Circuit as he posted the fastest time for Mercedes in Free Practice 3 at the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The Mercedes driver has looked comfortable and confident all weekend with just Lando Norris in the McLaren able to get within one tenth of the second.

Charlec Leclerc and Ferrari were left scratching their heads as they were over half a second behind Russell, while Carlos Sainz was over one second adrift, and ended the session last.

Max Verstappen was having issues with his Red Bull jumping, as he abandoned a couple of flying laps, and then on his final flying run he was still slower than the Mercedes by over half a second.

Given the limited running in FP2, the teams have plenty of work still to do ahead of Qualifying for the 2023 Abu Dhabi GP.
