The 2026 F1 season marks the 77th running of the FIA World Championship, with 24 Grands Prix booked from March to December across five continents, shaping another demanding global campaign: Here is the Full Schedule Calendar with Start Times around the world.

Reigning champion Lando Norris begins the year as the benchmark after sealing his first title in 2025 by edging out Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri in Abu Dhabi, whilst McLaren return as defending constructors champions.

Sweeping regulation changes define this new era, as revised power units, active aerodynamics and sustainable fuels alter car balance and race strategy, forcing teams to redesign concepts from the ground up.

And it could rip up the script after the previous season ended with one of the tightest championships in recent memory, as Britain’s Norris narrowly defeated his Formula 1 rivals by two points, after a prolonged battle throughout the year.

Norris secured the crown with a third-placed finish, while Verstappen won the race itself in dominant fashion as Piastri completed the podium after leading for much of the year before a late-season falter.

McLaren also retained the constructors title in commanding manner by hundreds of points, reinforcing expectations that the Woking-based team will remain a leading force under the new framework.

A major storyline is the arrival of Audi as a full works entry, following its takeover of Sauber, bringing a factory engine programme and significant technical investment into competition.

Cadillac joins as the eleventh team, with the aim of providing the sport with a true American challenger. They will initially be powered by Ferrari before later switching to General Motors, marking the first grid expansion since 2016 and reinforcing the sport’s growing global appeal.

Meanwhile, Honda becomes the exclusive engine partner of Aston Martin after ending ties with Red Bull, launching a renewed independent project with aerodynamics and chassis spear-headed by the legendary Adrian Newey.

Historic manufacturer Ford also re-enters F1 by partnering with Red Bull on powertrains, representing its first formal involvement in the championship since 2004.

Alpine transitions to customer status with Mercedes engines, thus puling the plug on their own project by concluding Renault’s long-standing works presence and driver changes further reshape competition.

Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas return to full-time seats at Cadillac, blending experience with development responsibilities whilst at Red Bull, Isack Hadjar earns promotion by replacing Yuki Tsunoda; and junior prospect Arvid Lindblad steps up with Racing Bulls.

Sprint weekends remain on selected rounds, including China, Miami, Canada, Britain, the Netherlands and Singapore, adding further strategic complexity to an already intense F1 schedule.
