F1 2025 Hungarian GP – Free Practice 2 Results

Norris tops second practice as McLaren flexes its muscle at the Hungaroring

-

The 2025 Hungarian GP Free Practice 2 Results saw Lando Norris continue his impressive form by topping the timesheets for the second time at the Hungaroring, leading another dominant McLaren one-two from Oscar Piastri. Charles Leclerc was again third for Ferrari, as Aston Martin looked impressive.

Norris carried his momentum from the morning, as both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll finished inside the top five, hinting at a step forward for the Silverstone squad. Their upgraded package seemed to perform well over short and extended runs, giving them hope of fighting at the sharp end as the weekend unfolds in Budapest.

The timesheets once again reveal a tightly-packed midfield, with less than seven-tenths covering the top six and the rest of the field not far adrift. With mixed weather forecast for Saturday in Hungary, strategy could play a major role in qualifying, but McLaren and Lando Norris have clearly established themselves as the combination to beat heading into the crucial third practice and qualifying sessions.
