Max Verstappen pulled out a sensational lap at Silverstone and put the Red Bull top of the F1 British GP 2025 Qualifying results, just ahead of Oscar Piastri in the McLaren with Lando Norris third fastest in the qualifying session.
Verstappen conjured a breathtaking lap in the dying moments to snatch pole position for Red Bull, leaving rivals and fans alike in awe of his relentless determination. The four-time world champion outpaced the in-form Piastri in the McLaren, while local favourite Norris had to settle for third on a day when the margins were as fine as ever.
Behind the leading trio, Ferrari struggled to match the frontrunners, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton both unable to find that final tenth to join the fight for pole. For Hamilton, it was a frustrating day as he searches for a record-extending home victory with his new team, while Leclerc’s pace tailed off after promising practice sessions.
