Oscar Piastri kept his head at Spa-Francorchamps, as he held firm to put his McLaren top of the Belgian Grand Prix 2025 race results, just ahead of Lando Norris with Charles Leclerc in the third fastest for Ferrari at a damp F1 weekend.
Piastri led from the front after making a decisive move on Norris in the early laps, handling the ever-evolving track conditions with authority. With McLaren nailing strategy calls and tyre choices, Piastri maintained a narrow gap to Norris as mistakes cost the Brit from challenging his Aussie teammate late on.
Leclerc managed to keep his Ferrari in contention, but was unable to match the pace of the leaders, eventually finishing over 20 seconds adrift. Max Verstappen had been tipped to challenge for victory in front of his army of Dutch fans, but the Red Bull driver found himself on the back foot after a tricky pit stop window and finished fourth. George Russell secured another solid result for Mercedes in fifth.
