F1 2025 Austrian GP – Full Schedule and Session Start Times

The 2025 Formula 1 season returns at the Red Bull Ring after a brief break following Canada.

The 2025 Austrian GP promises to be another dramatic entry in the ongoing Formula 1 season amid McLaren’s internal battle, Max Verstappen’s pressure, Mercedes’ recovery, and Ferrari’s upgrades, setting the stage for another big weekend as Total-Motorsport.com brings you the full schedule and session start times.

Following a dramatic Canadian GP that reshuffled the pecking order, the Spielberg circuit is poised to deliver more unpredictable racing and key narratives that could shape this season.

Known for its fast layout and three DRS zones, offers ideal conditions for overtaking and wheel-to-wheel battles, meaning Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris could give McLaren more internal problems to contend with.

The defending constructors’ champions arrive in Austria managing tensions after a collision between their drivers last time out in Canada, although Norris quickly accepted full responsibility, and his Australian counterpart seemed to forgive him.

The Brit, trailing his teammate by 22 points in the drivers’ standings, has yet to convert his speed into consistent race wins this season and now needs a response in order to stop the season getting away from him.

Someone else looking to do the same thing? Red Bull‘s Verstappen, who has dominated in previous seasons – recording five wins here since he stepped up from Toro Rosso in 2016.

Red Bull are cautious about their prospects, however. Perhaps because their star driver has 11 penalty points on his FIA Super Licence and must avoid infractions in Austria to prevent a mandatory race ban, forcing him to be tamer than usual.

So, as the F1 season passes its halfway point, this weekend could prove pivotal in defining the title race and Total-Motorsport.com brings you all of the session start times and a complete schedule for the 2025 Austrian GP.

Could Mercedes be in the mix? The Silver Arrows showed signs of revival in Canada as George Russell secured a commanding win with his teammate, Kimi Antonelli, joining him on the podium as the W16 performed well in Montreal’s tight corners and over kerbs.

Those are conditions similar to those found in Spielberg, and their new rear suspension upgrade that appears to have resolved long-standing issues with rear tyre overheating – although the consensus is they’re still behind McLaren in that regard.

Finally, Ferrari are also seeking answers after an underwhelming start to 2025 that has left Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc deeply frustrated as the team barely have the pace to contend for the podium, and have even been fighting off Williams at some tracks.

Issues with ride height have hindered performance since their disqualification in China, but in Austria, the Scuderia are expected to unveil an updated rear suspension that may allow them to lower the car and regain much-needed downforce. Will they be in the mix?
