The Dutchman recorded an impressive time of 1m 27.641s in SQ3, placing him ahead of the pack. Charles Leclerc, who trailed closely at just 0.108 seconds behind, will start alongside Verstappen on the front row.

Despite an initially strong showing, McLaren‘s pace dipped in the crucial SQ3, with Oscar Piastri finishing sixth and Lando Norris ninth. They were flanked by Aston Martin drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, securing seventh and eighth positions respectively, while Nico Hulkenberg of Haas rounded out the top ten on the starting grid for the 2024 Miami GP Sprint Race.

Mercedes faced a tough qualifying session, with both drivers exiting in SQ2. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton will commence the Sprint from 11th and 12th positions, respectively.
